I remember more the Tom Swift Jr. series from when I was a kid, and when this original series was less available. Now I'm reading the original series. It's interesting from today's perspective, but be aware that social norms and "political correctness" have changed a LOT since this series was written! Parenting, language and behaviours will be significantly different that what we have today. That being said, this is probably a somewhat realistic glimpse into the society of one hundred years ago. I had a lot of fun with this, but again, take it as it is and for what it is, and don't judge it critically based on todays culture. Just have fun with it. This Kindel edition is ok but not perfect.
