If you would like to know what route 66 looked like before it was a number or even a road read Sheperd's story. It will make you appreciate our current road system and the U.S. in general. Sheperd, a young Englishman, provides a unique perspective of Amerians and America during this period and a respect of the Ford car that was just starting to fill the roadways. It will also make you thankful you have a more modern ride since the Henderson had many engine issues throughout the three month ride.
